Wanted to Buy : Used Children's Items

I've been looking for these items on the website of our local mom's club but thought I should post it in case any of the moms in our life might want some extra cash for xmas shopping!

Here's what we are looking to buy:

High Chair:
Something similar to a Graco contempo high chair that preferably has wheels and folds for storage. Looking for one free of rips and tears and in a relatively neutral color (no jungle patterns...it's not my thing!) I almost had one today for $30 but another mom got to it faster...much better than the $150 in the store! I'm interested in two.

White, long sleeve onesies size 6-9 months, 6-12 months or 12-18 months.

Peg Perego P3 stroller:
Any year or pattern is fine as long as it will work with the primo viaggio car seat we have.

Baby Einstein DVDs

Baby Bath Tub: We need an extra to leave with a set of grandparents.

Play Mat - Charlie loves his tiny love gymini set...would like another for travel.

Let me know if you have one of these to sell! I'm happy to pick up in the bay area and we will be in the Davis/Dixon/Sac area around Xmas time.

Charlie's 1st Stocking...

My Tia Ryn loves me! My stocking even has my name on it!

Hmmm...can I eat this? Is it dairy free?

UPDATE: Awaiting the G.I. specialist

No new news from the GI Specialist after waiting an hour and a half to see him. Jose and I took turns walking Charlie around the halls in the better ventilated areas away from the sick kids who apparently didn't listen to the women at the front desk when she asked if anyone had a cough, cold or rash.  They said there is no blood test for allergies at Charlie's age and that reflux is diagnosed through responses to medication which I'm not too crazy about...but we shall see in the coming days if we give it a try.  Meds before you know anything is going on doesn't sound so good to me.

One bonus: Nona got Charlie this nifty bib that lights up...tackles both the spit up issue and the love of lights :)

The count down is on until we go to Stanford tomorrow to see the pediatric G.I. specialist we've been referred to.  Over the last week or so Charlie has had a lot of tummy issues again and it disturbs his eating and sleep. My no dairy diet is starting to wear on my body and I've been just holding on to the fact that we can see the magic tummy doc tomorrow.  He will hopefully be able to determine what Charlie's specific food allergies are and evaluate him for reflux issues. I'm leary of Charlie having to do more tests/treatments but I also don't want to keep him out of the doc's office if they can help him be more comfortable. I recently read that reflux may be a contributor (among everything else) to Sudden Infant Death Syndrome.  The fear of this sudden loss can be almost paralyzing.  My old counselor used to say that when you speak your fears you take away their power but how can you talk about SIDS? No one even wants to think about such a tragic loss and I don't know how anyone could get through it - I think my parents are the most courageous people I've ever met. I realize the only thing you can do is reduce the risk factors as much as possible.  Many people have said to me - it's something you just can't worry about...and I want to say "but it's not your family".

Our boy sure loves the lights!

Charlie loves any kind of lights, not to mention how much he has enjoyed discovering the xmas lights.  He's very aware of his surroundings now and likes to study them which has proven to make naps more challenging in engaging environments.  In this photo I just took he has on 6-9 month pj's! Baby gap fits right on (3-6 months) everything else...6-9...a giant just like mommy!

Hometown Holidays

This Saturday we were happy to have our friends Dan, Maria and Sophia visit. We adventured out to hometown holidays which had all kinds of free craft booths for kids, snow play areas, farm animal petting zoo (who knew?!), a parade and a large firework show.  We didn't stay for the fireworks because Charlie was getting fussy and it was getting colder.  Afterwards we all went back to our place and watched the boxing match...De La Hoya vs. Paq.

Trip to Nona's

Charlie's first tennis shoes - thanks for saving them for us Nona! We had to put our comfy sweats on after the drive home!

Harley the cat who loves to sleep on the couch...woken up momentarily by Charlie's crying!

Charlie and I made another road trip yesterday and today and we had to stop in both directions but otherwise he was pretty sleepy for the whole 2 hours each way. Traveling with an infant really bites but I'm lucky that Charlie does well in the car for the most part.  Seeing Charlie with family gives me so much joy but it makes leaving very difficult. Still working on a tear-free departure!
